It began in the fall of 2008, in the midst of the worldwide economic collapse. Having already established themselves at the top of the luxury travel industry, Bobby (award-winning travel agency owner) and Tamsyn (youngest US-based Sales Director for several Southern Africa properties) set out to disrupt the Africa operator world with a new approach.
We began shaping African journeys for people we cared about – clients and friends, from the highest-profile leaders in entertainment, sports, finance, tech, fashion and high net-worth families, to young honeymooners seeking the trip of a lifetime. Over the years we grew our team and honed our craft, with Travel Artistry Africa increasingly being a name shared and recommended amongst discerning travelers.
We remain a team of Afrophiles, deliberately small and tight-knit. Over nearly 20 years we have earned the trust of the finest hoteliers, camp and lodge owners and guides across the continent – relationships that add so much to what we do, unlocking access, introductions and moments that simply cannot be achieved without us.
